moar (2022 - Present) - Interactive livestreaming app

From concept to launch and beyond, working closely with the CTO, I was the sole backend developer for the "moar" interactive livestreaming app.

Quizkit (2020 - Present) - Twitch Extension with over 3 million monthly active users

As the Backend Engineer for the QuizKit interactive quizzing twitch extension, I saw QuizKit reach over 3.3 million monthly active users and a concurrency of 300,000 unique players. In 2020 I was a key part of the full refactor which is still running on the Twitch extension store today.

Rainbow Beach (Late 2018 - Mid 2019) - Isometric puzzle game

Mix colours to defeat enemies, defend against projectiles and unlock treasure chests with special rewards! This game was made by a team of 6, 2 artists, 3 designers, and myself on programming.

Super Meat Bit (2018) - NES Demake

Written in Assembly, I made a version of the popular platformer "Super Meat Boy" to run natively on the NES games console. Writing in assembly presented some interesting challenges from reusing sprites to blood permenance on spikes and limited memory.

Shield Man (January 2018 - April 2018) - 2D Speedrunning platformer

Shield Man is a hardcore 2D action platformer made in unity. It was inspired by games such as super meat boy, with level time trials and tongue in cheek humour.

You play as a knight who is on a quest to retrieve his princess, who also happens to be his sword. You navigate by bashing your shield against floors and walls instead of the more traditional running and jumping platformer mechanics.

GGJ Radio Active (January 2018) - Audio based puzzle game

4 people were involved in this game, all of which were doing roles which they don't traditionally do. An artist, a designer, an audio engineer, and a programmer.

I created all the audio for this game during the game jam using Ableton live 10, I also did some programming throughout the project, although this wasn't my main focus.

Descension (March 2017) - Melee hoard survival game

It is set in the underworld and created by Demon Crypt. Fight your way through masses of disturbing creatures with a hammer or dual axes in order to unleash as much havoc as you can, before your inevitable death that is.
